The Lubbock Grand Jury indicted a defendant on two counts of capital murder Thursday. According to the police warrant, David Carrillo, 29, admitted to shooting and killing his estranged common-law wife and her boyfriend in their home on 44th Street near the intersection of Slide Road.
Carrillo told police that he went over to the home of Jennifer Cruz, 27, and sneaked in through a bathroom window. He said he wanted to confront her new boyfriend, Albert 'Bo' Martinez, 30, about threats on Facebook. Carrillo said he shot Cruz and Martinez after they came at him.
The warrant also indicates Carrillo is the father of Cruz's two children.
