    Girls Basketball: Lubbock-Cooper wins 2 in Canyon Tournament

    The Lubbock-Cooper girls basketball team traveled to Canyon for a two day shootout this weekend in the Canyon Tournament. The Lady Pirates defeated 2 very good teams to improve to 5-1 on the season. On Friday LCP upset #5 ranked Frisco Liberty 46-35 and on Saturday defeated Crowley 63-37.

    Lubbock-Cooper boys basketball defeated Canyon High 53-35. The Pirates (2-0) were lead by Cameron Drainville with 18 points with Kade Johnston and Brendan Blacklock both adding 10 points.  Up Next: LCP will stay home and welcome Amarillo Caprock for a 7:30 tip off at Lubbock-Cooper High School.
